Organic clothing is clothes which are made from materials that have never been grown with the use of harsh chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides. The world uses clothing made from cotton; and conventional cotton is cultivated using approximately 16% of pesticides. Since cotton is the most grown material in the world it is also the crop which is most dependent on pesticides; it accounts for more than 25% of all pesticide in use for any type of crop. Scientist are now realizing the toll chemicals have on the environment and farmers are realizing these chemicals are causing ground contamination and contaminating farm water tables.
