Where can I buy a chihuahua or maltese puppy for a reasonable price?

I am looking for a maltese or chihuahua puppy for myself for a reasonable price because they are very expensive. If you are a breeder please let me know how much you charge for these breeds?.. Thank you.

    Try looking at http://www.petfinder.org
    Unless you’re going to be showing your dog, you don’t have to have papers for it.
    And please spay/neuter your new puppy!

    try AKC.com to locate a breeder in your area. please don’t try to find a bargain priced puppy as it will cost you big bucks at the vet. and please stay away from pet stores as they get their puppies from puppy mills are usually sick. better to save your money and go to a reputable breeder and get a healthy little one. good luck and god bless.

    I did a search on petfinder.org (where I got one of my dogs) and there are tons of chihuahua puppies. Some are mixed but the pictures show their characteristics. I don’t know where you live but you may need to update the zip code.

    Show people often breed their Champions hoping to get another of the same if not better dog. They will often have mostly pet quality dogs they will sell fairly reasonably to good home. Since they are looking for that special it dog. They usually just want to pay for they cost that went into a pet quality pups breeding and care. It is the show dogs they aren’t keeping that they charge the big buck for. As they are sought after.
    Do not buy from a pet store. These are puppy mill victims, usually. Quality animals have people looking to buy them, they don’t go on sale.
    You can always find a rescue that may be purebred or a chi or malti mix that has all the qualities you want. You may have to visit a lot of shelters and rescue but you can do a lot online now and it would be worth the trouble.
