How is Mexico different from other Spanish speaking countries? Is it better or worse?
I know that all countries are different, but tell me what you think about Mexico, and make sure to explain why you feel that way:)
To me Mexico can be considered high quality and low quality. Most Mexicans are very proud "viva la raza" etc. They are very cultured and its such a large populated country. They have developed customs which the American have used such as "Cinco de Mayo" burritos, tacos, tequila many other things which Americans love.
I don’t think it is better or worst than other Latin American countries. Spain for instance is a beautiful country which rich culture so is Puerto Rico even with the bad rep its been given. Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Venezuela in comparison to Mexico are considered "classier" people which is false its just the way people act.
They are just a little different because they have influenced American culture the most. They have done a lot for the U.S regardless of what racist Americans say.

How much does a smuggler charge to smuggle someone from Mexico into America do smugglers also finance?
Do smugglers also finance illegals trip into America with easy down payments and low monthly payments ? Do the illegals have to sign a contract ? In Mexico what ratio of smugglers are arrested ? Many in Mexico considred smugglers as the guys who bring illegals safely into America to enable them to find work they could not actually find in Mexico ?
Why pay someone while you can just take your time and walk over the border. Trust me immigration officer wont say a thing.

Are cigarettes in Mexico all that different from cigarettes in the US?
I live close to Mexico, my family has always gone there to buy cigarettes and other commodities, I smoke enough to buy a carton and I have wanted to buy one in Mexico. I’ve bought packs there before and they taste different (some lights are like reds) which is why I haven’t bought a whole carton. But due to the fact that a carton costs like 15 bucks there and 40 in the US is too good of a deal. But I wondered is there a big difference quality or tobacco wise between cigarettes there and here? Is it worth paying extra to get cigarettes that are made in the US?
I finally went and bought a carton of Parliament Lights for 16 bucks, I think they’re one of the only ones not made in Mexico, because the Marlboro Lights are kinda nasty, and have the government warning in Spanish, all the Parliaments say is Made for Central and Latin America, it also says Made In Neuchatel, Switzerland and they taste the same just with a different packaging
The biggest difference is what it is made from. There are different strains of tobacco with different flavors.
Foreign countries are also known for adding strange things to cigarettes to give the product more bulk. In Mexico, they are known for adding dried leaves from other plants. In China, they add cabbage to the cigarettes. So on, and so forth. U.S. tobacco is better, because we have some of the strictest regulations on how cigarettes are made.
Hope that helps!

Advice for an american who wants to move to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and start a small business?
My business partner and I are planning to move to Puerto Vallarta and open a small bookstore/wine/coffee shop. Have just started researching laws about foreingers moving to Mexico to start a business. Looking for advice about opening a business in Mexico and any thoughts on Vallarta. Thanks!
Hola! I just moved back down here to start a business my self. I am working on the first stages of it at this point.
I am also Mexican by birth so I don’t have to deal with that part of it. However I know that you can arrive as a tourist here and solicit your FM-3 once you are here. FM-3 it is a type of working permit issued by the immigration office.
I may be able to help with contact names and places to get answers to your questions: mexkimo@yahoo.com
They would let you also open a business that will generate work for Mexicans.

Any way a United States minor can go to Mexico without a passport?
My friend is planning to go with my family to Mexico during Christmas break. He’s 15 & was born in the United States & lives here.
He never traveled so he doesn’t have a passport but he has a birth certificate.
How will he be able to go with us?
No he can’t if you plan to take a flight. Each U.S. citizen needs a valid passport for an international flight.
Should you however plan to drive and cross the land border or take a cruise he can use his birth certificate to travel being below 16 years.

In this case he also must have a notarized letter of consent signed by both of his parents.

If Mexico implodes, does that mean America is going to have to fight the drug cartels?
Not trying to be mean, just, what if mexico becomes a failed state? Is America going to have to invade and capture mexico? And when/if they do capture mexico back from the cartels, does mexico become a country again?
If you’re a military servicemen/women, i would appreciate your answer.
I think the US would have to seal the border with troops.

How can i get Driving directions from California to Guadalajara, mexico?
See site below, add a couple of hours to what it says to allow for the inevitable road construction or delays. You will also need a Guia Roji, the Mexican road atlas. Can buy it at large book stores or on Amazon.com. You will also need a car permit and Mexican car insurance.

How does El Nino affect the weather in Cancun, Mexico during the winter months?
I know how El Nino affects the United States and Northern Mexico but does anyone know if it typically has much effect on the Cancun area? I have a vacation planned there in January and was wondering…I know there is no way to accurately forecast the weather for January but thought it would be nice to have an idea…thanks!
The effects there are ill defined. There seems to be little effect on temperatures, but maybe a small tendency to bring somewhat below average rainfall in that general area.
