Canon SD1400
One of the selling points for me was a video by Dave Helmly, Adobe vides guru, singing the praises of the camera and it is Canon SD1400, its capability, and simplicity of use on Youtube. I assume the heart of this issue is the comparatively new, not really prepared for prime time file type. I understand new capacity leads standardizing - but my experience is old fashioned. I started by reading from the camera memory - using my first pc and couldnt read in thru a USB port. I chatted to Canon and was suggested to try the USB port on the back of my computer. Using that port made the difference and I was ready to read right from the camera. Seemingly, this compressed information, with its high speed transfer needs essentially appears in the difference in one port on a P.C having the ability to read it, another not.
